Answers to the questions we get most, and how to reach us.

How to

Music won't transfer to my watch.

Keep the phone close to the watch and give it a few minutes — large packages take a while. If the transfer stalls, open Ritmik.Run on both devices and start it again from the watch settings in the app.

How do I get my library back on a new phone?

Sign in to the same Apple ID or Google account, install Ritmik.Run and choose Restore on the welcome screen. Your library list and likes come back and the music is downloaded again. For everything else — runs with routes, settings, shoes — use Settings → Export data on the old phone and open the file on the new one.

How do I connect a Bluetooth heart-rate sensor?

Settings → Pulse source, then pick Garmin or Chest strap & sensors. Start the heart-rate broadcast on your watch or put the strap on, then pick it from the list. Ritmik remembers the sensor and reconnects on your next run.

How do I use Ritmik with my Garmin watch?

In Ritmik: Settings → Pulse source → Garmin, then follow the steps: choose your watch in Garmin Connect and install the free Ritmik data field from the Connect IQ Store. Put the Ritmik field on your first data screen — the one you see after START: Run → Run Settings → Data Screens → Connect IQ → Ritmik. From then on, START on your watch starts your training and your music. You need Garmin Connect on the same iPhone; Android is not supported yet.

My Garmin says “Open on phone” and the music doesn't start.

Open Ritmik on your iPhone — your run starts right away, with music. Ritmik can only start the music by itself while it is still open in the background and was the last app to play music. If you swipe it away in the app switcher, it stays closed until you open it again. If another app played music last, Ritmik sends you a notification instead: tap it to start (keep notifications for Ritmik on).

How do I use my own Apple Music?

Open the Music tab and choose Apple Music. Sign in with your Apple ID; you need an Apple Music subscription. Ritmik measures the tempo of each track on your phone — nothing is uploaded and your library is never changed.

The music stutters or the tempo doesn't change.

Connect your headphones before you press play and make sure no other app is playing audio. If one track keeps stuttering, delete it from the library and download it again. On the free plan, the music plays in your tempo for a limited time each month; after that, songs play at their original tempo until the 1st of the next month — or right away again with Premium.

Questions.

Does it work with Spotify?

No. Ritmik plays its own catalog and your Apple Music. Streaming services don't hand apps the audio, so the tempo can't follow you.

Do I need internet while running?

No. Everything you downloaded plays offline.

Does it work on the treadmill?

Yes. Set the tempo, press play — a limited time each month on the free plan, unlimited with Premium. Run tracking works there too.

Is it for walking?

Yes. Walking has its own band, 100–140 steps per minute, and its own music.

Can the watch play without the phone?

Yes. Put music on the watch and leave the phone at home. Apple Watch and Wear OS.

Which heart-rate sources?

Your Apple Watch or Wear OS watch, or any Bluetooth strap or watch that broadcasts heart rate.

Can I move to a new phone?

Yes. Export everything to one file and import it on the new one, iPhone or Android.
